Our History
Earl Fayard Sr. acquired the property located at 400 Front Beach Dr in Ocean Springs, MS from his mother in 1948. It had long been used for various seafood ventures as it was located on the beach with deep water access for boats to dock. It was once a thriving center of oyster production. Earl and his father Luther, both shrimpers, used it as a home base to dock their boats and peddle their shrimp. A small factory was built and a local seafood market was added later. Earl Fayard Jr took it over when he was a teenager. Earl was not a shrimper. He focused his efforts on growing the factory, establishing a local seafood delivery route, and expanding to shipping his shrimp across the country. The beachfront factory was destroyed by Hurricane Camille in 1969 and rebuilt. When Hurricane Katrina destroyed it again, Earl moved his operations across the bay to Biloxi where it would be better sheltered from future storms. The property on Front Beach was sold to the city of Ocean Springs in 2022 to be developed into a multi-use community gathering center. Earl Jr and his daughter, Bethany Fayard, continue to process USA Gulf Shrimp in Biloxi, MS. Their local route provides seafood to restaurants from Orange Beach, AL to Gonzalez, La. On the wholesale front, their shrimp can be found in restaurants all over the country and even at a zoo in California.
Wholesale Shrimp
We offer domestic shrimp- peeled, peeled and deveined, or headless- block frozen (10x5) shipped to your distribution center or private location via refrigerated freight trucks. We have both brown and white varieties available depending on the season. Freight orders must be a minimum of 2000#
Local Route
Do you have a restaurant in south Mississippi, south Alabama, or the New Orleans area? We offer our domestic shrimp as well as many popular items from "across the pond" such as swai fish, tilapia, PTO shrimp, EZ Peel shrimp, HLSO shrimp, and crawfish meat. We deliver direct to your restaurant weekly at no charge.
